The main mine fan is used to generate flow for total air requirement in the underground mine circuit and are provided for handling large volume of air at comparatively high pressure. They are typical used for pressurization of mine shafts, safety ventilation systems, and dust control.
Auxiliary Mine Fans are integral & symbiotic units in handling the main air stream of the working districts of the mine. They operate with the main mine fan thus boosting the pressure of ventilation air passing through it. Such fans are extensively used in underground mining where inflammable and hazardous gas is present.
